i remembered when i was a kid when my brother rented a vhs tape (back then movie rentals are really popular) of it, at first i was dumbfounded but after watching it, its fun i always sing the opening sequence.

Well fortunatily for the die hatrd Tokusatsu fan, Saban didn't aquire every single programme Toei have ever made. Like Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, they didn't use every show, probably since they didn't see that much interest in marketing deals and with the audience. Do a Wikipedia search for the Metal Heroes franchise and you'll see plenty of shows that Saban didn't use. They didn't use the two 'Rescue Hero' shows which followed this one neither.

It's the first entry of the 'Rescue Hero' trilogy of the Metal Heroes franchise by Toei. This was first shown in 1990.
