Life can hard for many reasons. But to elect life is to elect pain. The beauty of, say, music, makes it worth while. Marika, I hear, is a recluse in her home, missed by so many people. To her I say this little poem: "to love no more and lay down upon a bed of roses covered in silken flame--untouched, unbloodied thorns burning in the ashes." But maybe I am overstepping to say this.

few years ago, marika literally vanished form the pop scene, she became a recluse and hardly ever leaves the privacy of her home. it's a shame, since her music means a lot to a great many people who miss her.

Thank you for the history on the two. Marika is incredibly beautiful and has such a powerful presence on stage...even in a wheelchair.

all former modus members represent the more inteligent, mature level of slovak pop. just look at these two in this video. i've seen a few attempts to cover their songs, but none of them could ever get any close to this original.there's an amazing musical, "neberte nam princeznu" featuring both of these singers in leading roles. unforgettable.

these two actually have a very interesting history. they were both members of the band modus - they go a long way back to 1976. marika is paralyzed since an accident in 1980. modus disbanded about that time, which was seen by the public as guys letting marika down after the acident. truth is that janko lehotsky, the founder of modus, sacked all the rest somewhere on the plane during a return flight from a gig abroad, which was before the accident took place.
