The Mogadishu Mile

The song used is Mad World by Gary JulesThe Mogadishu Mile was a long mile run by U.S. Rangers and Delta Force from the helicopter crash site to the Pakistani Stadium during the Battle of Mogadishu on October 4, 1993 part of Task Force Ranger in an attempt to overthrow Mohamed Farrah Aidid. Originally they were supposed to take cover by running along side the convoy of Humvees and armored personnel carriers, however when the convoy outpaced them they were forced to run without support and with very little ammunition while under heavy fire coming from all directions.

lol the un didnt do it. it was american helicopters who killed 50 civilians, many of whom were killed when they were trying to make the case for american help. next thing pakistani un troops were getting ambushed and many were killed. a few months later army rangers and delta force went in and fought the battle of mogadishu.read your history. i do find it funny you were trying to correct me. if you want info on what im talking about they had a special on the history channel that explained it

(Continued) & the civilains got pissed back at the U.N. & the coup leaders used this chance to get ppl to join each coup's. But the civilians accidentaly, believed that the U.S. was incharge of the U.N. , so as u can guess... they blamed the U.S. so when the U.S. Rangers & SFOD-D (Special Forces Operations Detachment - Delta) came in & finally got a good lead on the highest coup leader. so the Rangers & SFOD-D went in, but then "ALL-HELL-BROKE-LOOSE!" & then Black Hawk Down Happened. "The End"

yes which makes it possibly blame-able on us for not telling anybody about it. That's our mistake, that we didn't tell anybody that we left. Not that we actually left.
AfgEagle1 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
leaving was not a mistake it was for survival purpose. The delay on rescue was coz no one knew about this mission..
Rubberbandmoviesinc (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
actually the mistake was us leaving without telling anybody. Not Pakistan's fault
AfgEagle1 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)

Right we did break the rules, the movie even says so when they call for help from Pakistan, and they were punished for that. 19 dead and the delay of the Pakistanis.
