"Another Suitcase in Another Hall" is a song from the musical Evita with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The song was first a hit for in the UK for Barbara Dickson in 1977. It was recorded by American singer Madonna for the 1996 soundtrack Evita. The song was released as the soundtrack's third and final commercial single in March 1997.

Yes. But originally, Eva doesn't sing this song at ALL. They had Madonna sing it because 1. they wanted a single, and 2. they promised to soften eva's character

They had Eva sing it so that she would become more of a victim. The broadway version of Eva is much harsher than this version.
