You just have to get used to their newer stuff... it isn't that bad, it's not so "true", but let the good musicians try something new like Mayhem did! But can you say, what's "true BM" correctly?

well, everybody has their opinions about BM etc. but imo Dimmu Borgir is still blackmetal in nowadays, but it's more like technical and made with different inspirations than their older stuff and other BM-bands! Dimmu Borgir's all albums from 'För All Tid' to 'Spiritual Black Dimensions' are pure, melodic blackmetal! Then they weren't mainstream yet! :) But many people critisize DB, because it's not same as other BM-bands, not so original! And PEM, DCA, newer Stormblåst are great albums ->

To all you who enjoys Xashtur's music, might I recommend the danish one man project Nortt? I might even say it is a bit darker and deadlier than this. But still... Xasthur is good. Very. Good.

i dont think we can callcradle or dimmu Black metal(or compare with that)the ist album of cradle (the principleof evil made flesh) is their... unique black metal album (vempire too is not bad)...well dusk.. DID changed the perception of bm but its still not Pure Bm...and for dimmu borgirfor all tid,stormblast(a real masterpiece)and after...BIG BULLSHIT...(i think mourningpallace and in death's embrace are the lastgood songs they did) but its still not truebm (i'M talKInG To braneann)
