I used to love Elton to the point of listening to his songs over and over until I cried. Then I was crushed when I heard that he was gay, although i still love him and his music. This video was when I don't think he even knew he was gay, and wrote with Bernie Taupin. They were a great duo. Elton deserves accolades for his work and life, he is truly a blessed and special human being.

is it me or does he sing 'lay me down in sheets of lennon' rather than linen, at 3:08? i know he and john were good mates later, but not in 1971, and i'm pretty sure they weren't anything more, so maybe elton had a little crush on him before they met? hmmm...

Everyone in my family loves this song AND I always will because it an amazing song with a whole lot of talent being played through it especially MR. Elton John. who is a great musician and no one can doubt that I love this song!!
