The mig21 were superior to the F4, so was the Su27 to F15. The Russian S400 system is the most sofisticated anti-air system out there, even Pentagon have admitted that.

"Most of the new fighters are networked - so if one sees it, they all see it." That's true but considering the AN/APG-77 is the most powerful radar to date it shouldn't be to hard to avoid getting triangulated by enemy aircraft.

The one thing that concerns me about the design is the lag time on the arms. If you fly with the weapons popped out, you become more visible - but if you fly with them contained, you could miss potential shots to not getting them out fast enough. It's most apparent on the gun - you might only get a fraction of a second to make the hit, and there's at least a quarter-second between the flap starting to move and the gun bieng ready.Better hope it's as agile as they say. :|

P'haps not. With stealth aircraft, you have to either deflect the enemies radar or absorb it somehow. The F-22 uses a deflection model, so should be safe against single aircraft - but if you've got enough birds around it one or more could pick up on the deflected beam. Most of the new fighters are networked - so if one sees it, they all see it.Absorbers, like the B2 spirit, no longer have true stealth. They're hard to see, but can still be spotted on newer gear.
