Actually, people don't like Slipknot because they make terrible, terrible music.

why do people complain about being mainstream or underground? i mean many of the bands that are made are going to a high standar as abeing more popular. not all but most. justice is a great duo and make great music. people dont like slipknot because supposely their mainstream but they started as everyband. my point is dat bands shouldnt be picked just because their mainstream their still great and love the music and the people who love their music. music is music and thats it. no matter how popu

Pistolen87- Very well said, and Chillraph- Very well said!! haha, I agree with you both. Popularity through hard work and devotion is respectful, but I hate how you've known an artist for a long time and then they blow up and everyone listens to their singles.(That was Metro Station for me.)It also is very annoying when some shit artist (Soulja Boy) gets total fame through a shitty song and a shitty album.(and then makes like super millions off of it)

superbly well said. thats exactly what i thought. my friends are already like "eh justice... yeah they've gone mainstream.." not true! i really dont understand why people start disrespecting the artirsts because they finally get more and more popular. if they still do good stuff, than the popularity is well deserved

You'd think that would be the common attitude but I don't think it is.

I completely agree. I hate the fact that the minute a band has more than ten fans, people say they've soldout and went mainstream. Shouldn't you be happy that a band you consider good is finally getting the recognition it deserves?

It's kind of like Daft Punk, they have managed to maintain respect from the electro crowd, while reaching out to a new crowd with some of their big hits like "one more time". Justice is the same they do some tunes that are more difficult to listen to for the mainstream crowd, like Stress, while they can make these kind of tunes as well.
