Astrud is my #2 singer of all time for some silky smooth female vocals, #1 is Barbara Lewis.

If what you're saying is true, the orchestra should get faster and faster. We'll finish the song at double speed!Don't get me wrong - I love Astrud's singing on other songs, but here she's well ahead of the beat and it's a credit to the conductor that he doesn't panic and try to make them catch up with her. You're completely wrong about the relationship between soloist and orchestra. It's a mutual effort - in this recording, Astrud simply isn't listening to the orchestra and pushes ahead.

ya right, you DO know that the music ACCOMPANIES her, not the other way around. It's ok, you must know much about singing, music and the like.

I'm not a fan of this, she's constantly ahead of the beat all the time. It's not very relaxing.
