WHITE TIGERS "Facts VS Fiction"
In this special edition of Species Spotlight we look at the VERY popular white tiger (which isn't a separate species of tiger.) White tigers in captivity are produced from inbreeding and they actually weaken the captive tiger gene pool and they do nothing to help real conservation of the tiger. We state the first white was found in the 1950's as reports ealier to this may or may not have taken place in India. For more info on this: http://www.bigcatrescue.org/wh... urge anyone you see exhibiting white tigers to get them spayed or neutered as we CAN stop this abuse in our generation. Since they bring in $$$, many places breed them, and this has to be stopped in order to put the emphasis back into the real tiger species and into conservation and welfare over simple entertainment. Thank you. http://www.bigcatrescue.org

Question: When an animal is inbreed, each new generation that is enbreed becomes more & more aggressive & mentaly unstable but could have a mental throwback from the first generation correct?Ex.) Father and Daughter = offspring that is calm. 9 generations of aggresive later, the last generation has a throwback to the 1st generation & become calm.Would it be possible for several generations of white tiger to have a throwback & become regular tiger or not?I aggree w/ u on W tiger prob.

That'll be our biggest tiger Shere Khan he ways over 700lbs and is a siberian/bengal mix, that's why he is so large. He also had a rough start in life being stuck in a dog carrier for his first few months and not receiving the right food nutritionally, thats why he as slightly shorter legs than he should, making his belly hang down, thanks for watching!

Hi, Zabu actually isn't albino, her coloration is caused by a double recessive gene, which comes from inbreeding, thats why genetically white tigers are so messed up, thanks for watching!
