Well yeah, that's pretty obvious. He was likely referring to the "crisis of faith" that swept through Europe in the mid 1800s.

I'm pretty sure that he didn't mean an actual killing of God. To Nietzsche, organized religion has killed the faith, but the faith can exist.

I'm an athiest and proud of it. Richard dawkins dispells the god myth with such wit and intelligence, that it almost makes me believe he's a kind of athiest prophet [if possible]. You christian - scumbags - should leave everyone alone, i'm fed up with your preaching, keep it to yourself........You evil bastards!
