I hate all these Kung Fu bashers and MMA bashers. Both Kung Fu and MMA are not a certain style and you can not really bash either one specifically. Kung Fu = Hard Work/Dedication and MMA = Mixed Martial Arts so really if you train in MMA (Whatever that means) and you put a lot of work into it that's consider Kung Fu and if you train in more than one Kung Fu discipline you can be considered a Mixed Martial Artist. Example Bruce Lee is both a Kung Fu and Mixed Martial Artist. Sadly now, both the

to martial arts. Kung Fu was developed during a time before television, games, computers and all our modern entertainment/technology. This is why a lot of techniques and training methods found in Kung Fu requires so much more time and dedication, and this is why there are less Kung Fu grandmasters today then say a Hundred years ago even though the population on earth has increased.

3) A lot of Kung Fu styles requires much more practice and dedication before the art can be applied to combat situations. I think it is not surprising for MMA to be gaining popularity at this day and age, because MMA does not have a set style, so one can choose what ever style to fit themselves. Also the styles that are popular in MMA right now (Muay Thai, Jujitsu) are more simple and easy to learn which is great for this day and age where we have so little time in our days to dedicate ourselves
