I don't hear "With or Without You" in this song. You do, however, get serious props for spelling consciousness correctly & putting the word sonic with it. I do enjoy a good turn of phrase.

ah fanboys..."heaven forbid my precious indie band have mainstream influences!" come on guys. i expected a little more maturity and open-mindedness out of MBV fans. Melodically speaking the intro is a little reminiscent of the "With or W/O You" intro, albeit in a different key and tempo. not to mention the edge was one of the first mainstream guitarists to really push that delayed guitar sound into the sonic consciousness.
